Message from Department Head

Remedial nutrition is one of the main elements of prevention and treatment for many diseases. The department aims at developing the skills of its students through granting them access to the latest in the field, training them and preparing them for jobs in various food- and nutrition-related sectors, and encouraging scientific research. It is my aspiration that our graduates become a source of help for the community through teaching it what they have learned, spreading awareness, participating in the development of education and developmental leadership. The vision of the department includes starting a clinical nutrition program and a doctoral program.

We are always ready to receive research ideas as well as requests for collaboration in research from industry, community groups and other stakeholders. Our staff members are also well versed in consultancy work and the department is therefore ready to offer consultancy services.

Best Wishes

Kazi Nazira Sharmin
