Biography

A. K. M. Humayun Kober received the B.Sc.in Animal Husbandry and M. S. in Dairy Sciencefrom Bangladesh Agriculture University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, and the Ph.D. degree from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. He has completed JSPS Post-doctoral study on Food immunology (Immunological functional dairy food) in Tohoku University, Japan.

He joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Dairy & Poultry Science (DPS), CVASU in 2001 and served as an Assistant Professor from 2003 until 2011 and an Associate Professor from 2011 until 2015. Currently, he holds a position of Professor in the Department of DPS, CVASU. He published many scientific articles in reputed journals such as Frontiers in Immunology, Molecular Immunology, Beneficial Microbes, Genome Announcements, Journal of Poultry Science etc. He has immense interest to work on Food immunology particularly for the development of functional foods and feeds using immunomodulatory probiotics. He received several prestigious national and international awards during his academic career including to Chair a scientific session in front of very genius Professors (one of them are co-researcher of Nobel Laureate) in International Symposium. Furthermore he presented his research works in reputed Society such as Canadian Society of Microbiologists, European Microbiologists, Japanese Society of Animal Science/veterinary/dairy science etc.

Guest lecturer writes industry reports, consultancy in livestock farm related to production. Received funds for projects related to livestock production. By my initiators CVASU is conducting extension service in every two days in a week and I am a facilitator of that program. I am directly involved with consultancy services of this university. I engaged with the farm calls and external motivational activities.
