DR. Nasima Akter
Nasima Akter received the DVM and M.Sc. degrees from Chittagong Veterinary Animal Sciences University, Chittagong, Bangladesh. She joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Dairy and Poultry Science, CVASU in 2016.

Her research focus is on the husbandry and welfare of small to large scale poultry production. She is particularly interested in understanding the challenges facing small scale and backyard poultry flocks as well as the impacts of housing systems on poultry health and welfare on large scale facilities in Bangladesh. She is also interested in developing farm assessment tools for producers to monitor the health and welfare of their own flocks with the aim of higher production.
