Message from Dean

The basic demands of human being are food, cloth, accommodation, marriage and convence. To meet up this world demand, the Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University has established since 2006 comprising of three faculties i.e. the faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the faculty of Food Science &Technology and the faculty of Fisheries.

The faculty of Food Science & Technology is centrally placed & related with other two faculties as an umbrella. The Chittagong division is occupied by a large Hilly area, beach of Chittagong, Cox's bazar. A vast area of agricultural land. Large amount of varieties of fruits, vegetables are producing from the hilly are, vast amount of crops are harvesting from the agricultural land. Huge fishes are cultivating in different river i.e. Karnafully, Halda etc. and in the Bangoposagar.

The vision of this faculty is that the FFST will produce the world demand based competent and dynamic FFST graduates through the incorporation of Off-campus training opportunities. The graduate will able to formulate world standard food. They will develop many food processing technique. The graduates will be able to ensure quality food and balanced nutritional food.
