FETPV Program

Announcement for recruiting FETPV candidates


Field Epidemiology Training Program for Veterinarian (FETPV) is a unique 2-year skill-based program for veterinarians working under the Department of Livestock Services, Forest Department, Public Universities and Research Institutes. The Department of Livestock Services (DLS), Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) and Global Health Development (GHD) are jointly offering the FETPV program. The vision of FETPV is to provide quality field based applied epidemiological education and training for the development of skilled veterinary field workforce who will contribute to reduce health threats in animal population. It will also provide One Health skills to work at human–animal and environment interface to promote health and reduce disease burden. The primary objective of the program is to enhance epidemiological capacity of the national veterinary services to prevent, detect and respond the infectious diseases at national, regional and community level.

 Benefits of the fellow:

  • Masters in Applied Veterinary Epidemiology will be offered by CVASU
  • FETPV fellowship certificate will be provided by DLS, CVASU and GHD upon completion of the required deliverables
  • Research fund will be made available to complete the thesis as partial fulfilment of the Master’s degree program
  • Monthly stipend will be provided as per the program rules


Requirement of the candidates:

  • The program intended for veterinarians working under the Department of Livestock Services, Forest Department, Public Universities and Research Institutes in Bangladesh
  • Registered veterinarian with degree in DVM/ BSc Vet Sci & AH from any recognised university of Bangladesh
  • Being a permanent employee of the DLS and other sectors
  • Age should be 40 years or less on the date of application deadline
  • Must have GPA 3.25 out of 4 scale in Veterinary Epidemiology and/or Preventive Veterinary Medicine in undergraduate course
  • Female candidates are specially encouraged to apply
