He also completed two master degrees, one is in the field of Aquatic Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from The University of Tokyo, Japan and another one is in Fisheries Management from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh Bangladesh. He obtained his Bachelor's degree of science in Fisheries (Honours) in 2002 (examination held in 2004) from the Faculty of Fisheries, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He obtained 1st position at B.Sc level with 80.65% marks, which was the record mark of Faculty of Fisheries as well as the Bangladesh Agricultural University. Therefore, he was awarded four Gold Medal Awards and one merit award in recognition of excellent results in B.Sc Fisheries (Hons.) and Master of Science level.

Immediately after completion of Master’s degree, he was involved as a Research Fellow in a number of internationally funded projects such as-IFS funded project, USAID funded ACRSP project, USAID funded CDR project and INDO-DC (EU) funded “Pond Live” project in the Department of Fisheries Management at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. After completing his Ph.D. degree, he started his professional life as Senior Lecturer at University Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia from January 2014 to April 2016. After successful completion of his tenure at University Malaysia Terengganu, he joined as an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Fisheries, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. He attended a number of international and national conferences to present his research findings. Md. Asaduzzaman is an active member of different renowned societies such as Japanese Society for Fisheries Science (JSFS), Asian Fisheries Science (AFS) and World Aquaculture Society (WAS).
