Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman is Professor of Pathology in Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University. He received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) and M.S. degree in Pathology from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He started his research career with Ph.D. degree from the United Graduate School of Veterinary Science, Yamaguchi University, Yamaguchi, Japan under the supervision of Professor Osamu Yamato of Kagoshima University, Japan with a research title ``Study of molecular pathogenesis and epidemiology of GM2 gangliosidosis variant 0 (Sandhoff disease) in dogs and cats.``

His research interests are in the inherited neurodegenerative disorders and other inherited disorders and traits of human and animals, immunopathology, genomics of infectious diseases of animals, zoonotic diseases, etc.
