The Department of Industrial Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, located at the Research and Farm-Based Campus in Hathazari, Chattogram, is an outreach campus of Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), established in 2006. This department offers ten courses as part of its undergraduate program. In addition to teaching, the faculty members actively engage in research and participate in various extracurricular activities. 

Mission:

The mission of the Department of Industrial Biotechnology is to advance knowledge and innovation in biotechnology through high-quality education, cutting-edge research, and meaningful community engagement and to drive innovation and knowledge in biotechnology through  research focused on plant, animal, food, marine, and other industrial applications. 

Vision:

The vision of the Department of Industrial Biotechnology is to become a leading center of excellence in biotechnology education and research, recognized both nationally and internationally for its contributions to sustainable industrial innovation. We aspire to shape future leaders in biotechnology who will drive scientific breakthroughs, promote environmental stewardship, and contribute to the sustainable development of society. By fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and industry partnerships, we aim to create a dynamic learning environment that empowers students and faculty to pioneer impactful biotechnological solutions for a better and more sustainable world.

I am honored to take on the role of Head of the Department of Industrial Biotechnology and am truly excited to work alongside such a talented and dedicated faculty members. Our department has built a solid foundation in advancing education and research across diverse fields such as plant, animal, food, and marine biotechnology. Together, we have the potential to further our mission of addressing critical challenges through sustainable biotechnological solutions.

My goal is to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment where each of us feels inspired to contribute, innovate, and excel. I am committed to supporting our research and teaching endeavors and promoting the growth and development of our students, who are the future leaders of biotechnology.
