Department of Genomics and Bioinformatics is one of the parts of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at CVASU. Genomics and Bioinformatics are interrelated scientific subdiscipline of science in which its involve with using computer technology to collect, generate, analyze, disseminate, and represent biological data and information like DNA and Amino Acid sequences or structural and functional annotation about such sequences. Now, this is one of the leading science in the world and it is exploring the mystery of biological science rapidly. However, Genomics is now being used in a wide variety of fields, such as metagenomics, pharmacogenomics, and organelle genomics whereas Bioinformatics is used to understand biological process and practically visible in gene therapy, drug delivery, evolutionary biology etc. The aim of the department is to deliver the best theoretical and practical knowledge of genomics and bioinformatics to the students to capable them in international arena and grow up as a real Biotechnologist in our national level.
