Training program in addition to consultancy

(a) Organized training program for the farmers on HACCP Based Quality Management System at Golda (Macrobrachium Rosenbergii) Farms In Fulpur Region Of Mymensingh February 25 to 27, 2005.

(b) Organized HACCP training programme for shrimp farmers, depot owners and processing industries on the post-harvest quality management at farms, depot (receiving centre), industries and various stages of handling and transportation, at Brackish water Station of Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI), Paikgacha, Khulna from November 24-27, 2000. The major activities included were:

  1. Post-harvest quality management of shrimp and fish
  2. Quality control and monitoring of critical control point
  3. Quality changes in various storage conditions

(c) Worked as a trainer in the Regional Workshop cum trainers training programme in Bangkok, Thailand on "Quality systems in Seafood processing industry" based on the ISO 9000 series and HACCP-based quality management program from 15-19 November, 1993. The major activities included were:

  1. Modern attitudes food quality and quality assurance
  2. Principles of HACCP and formation of HACCP team in processing industry
  3. Major steps in establishing of HACCP in fish/shrimp processing industry

(d) Worked as a trainer in a Training Program arranged for the Quality Control Officers of the Department of Fisheries (DOF) from February 4-22, 1992 at Khulna and from February 25 to March 14, 1992 at Chittagong, Organized by the BAFRU, a Component of ODA counter Part. The major activities included were:

  1. Quality management system in fish processing industry
  2. Principles and methods of fish preservation
  3. Analytical techniques to assess the degree of freshness by determining organoleptic, biochemical and bacteriological aspects.

(e) Participated as a Resource Personnel in the "Regional Consultation on Fisheries Industry for Asia and the Pacific Island Countries from December 2-6, 1991, Vienna, Austria, Organized by United Nations Industrial Development Organization. The major activities included were:

  1. Preparation of project proposal for establishing small scale various value added fish processing industry in Bangladesh;
  2. Regional cooperation for establishing collaborative fish processing industry under UNIDO assistance
