Jahan Ara has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Parasitology at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from CVASU and obtained  Master’s degree in Public Health from the One Health Institute, CVASU, followed by a Master’s degree in Veterinary Pathology from CVASU.

She is a registered member of the Bangladesh Veterinary Council.
