Tasneem Imam has been a full-time permanent faculty member since 2011, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Veterinary Science since 2019. Around 14 years, she has actively contributed to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across three faculties of CVASU- Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Food Science and Technology and Faculty of Fisheries.  Her key research focus is on farm disease diagnosis, risk factors, antimicrobial usage and resistance, animal health management, and farmers’ attitude and behaviour. Her research interests include statistical modelling of primary and secondary data.

She earned a Bachelor of Science (2007) and Master of Science (2008) in Statistics, Biostatistics and Informatics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, achieving first-class results and receiving both University of Dhaka and Rokeya Hall Scholarships for academic excellence. She later completed a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Epidemiology in 2021 at the School of Veterinary Science, The University of Queensland, Australia, under the Australia Awards Scholarship. Her MPhil research focused on antimicrobial usage in commercial poultry farms in Bangladesh, farmers’ behaviour, and farm biosecurity.

Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology (2023–present) at School of Veterinary Science, University of Queensland, Australia, supported by a Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship. Her doctoral research investigates the diagnosis, risk factors, and antimicrobial resistance patterns of clinical mastitis in Australian dairy herds.

She has also served in key administrative roles at CVASU, including as Proctor (2021-2023) and Provost (2017-2018; 2019).
