Siratul Kubra Shifat is currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Bioprocess and Genetic Engineering under the Faculty of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Chattogram-4330, Bangladesh.
She completed both her Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) degrees in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU), Tangail, securing First Class First position in both programs. During her BSc studies, she worked on isolating and screening enzyme-producing bacteria and optimizing culture media to enhance enzyme yield. Her MSc thesis focused on single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with diabetes, reflecting her growing fascination with the molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases.
Passionate about molecular biology and its applications in bioprocess and genetic engineering, she aims to explore the frontiers of microbial biotechnology and molecular diagnostics through her academic and research endeavors. She joined CVASU as a faculty member to contribute to the development of the department and to nurture the next generation of scientists through research-led teaching and mentorship. Joining CVASU as a faculty member marked a new chapter in her academic journey—one grounded in curiosity, dedication, and a desire to inspire future scientists.
